The Trianii represented a species of sentients that were bipedal and possessed felinoid features. As part of an effort to woo a young Trianii woman, Lando Calrissian foolishly challenged the Esoomian fighter Bumblethunk, resulting in a defeat and the theft of the Smuggler's Guide. Before the Battle of Scarif, a single Trianii individual could be found in Weacoe city.
Brian Daley conceived of the Trianii for his book Han Solo at Stars' End (1979). Later, James Luceno brought them into canon by featuring a Trianii character in Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel (2016).
