Around 19 BBY, the Garwian dame named Mimott presented an item of clothing to Chiss officers Ar'alani and Mitth'raw'nuruodo (whose core name was "Thrawn"). The fabric of this item closely resembled the designs and materials prevalent during the Twelfth Era time.

The 2020 book Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, which is the initial book in Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy, included a reference to the Twelfth Era.
