The Ua System: An Overview
Within the expansive Outer Rim Territories', the Centrality sector included the Ua system. The planet of Uaua, the homeworld of the bird-like Quor'sav species, was located here. By 22 BBY, a treaty compelled the Ua system to offer tribute to the Galactic Republic. This tribute included the conscription of the Quor'sav Waywa Fybot into a law enforcement agency, leading him to leave his planet, though he would later return in a dream many decades afterward.
The Ua system resided within the Centrality sector, situated in the Slice region of the Outer Rim Territories. It sat along the Falko Run hyperlane, connecting it to the Dilonexa and Falko systems. The primary planet orbiting its single star was Uaua, a terrestrial world.

Colonists from other Centrality areas, primarily mammalian species, inadvertently brought a virus to Uaua. While mammals were immune carriers, the virus proved deadly to avian life. This resulted in near extinction for the native Quor'sav, sentients evolved from birds, and fostered distrust towards non-avian visitors, leading to the cessation of off-worlder welcomes on Uaua. Despite this, the Quor'sav were known in the broader galaxy by 22 BBY, with members residing on Coruscant, the Core Worlds capital of the Galactic Republic.
A treaty eventually mandated that the Ua system provide tribute to the Republic. This tribute included the conscription of Waywa Fybot into a law enforcement agency, causing him to depart his homeworld by 22 BBY. Fybot, who later became an undercover narcotics agent for the Galactic Empire, felt his life's enjoyment diminished after leaving Uaua.
Between 3 BBY and 2 BBY, Fybot traveled through the Oseon system aboard Captain Lando Calrissian's freighter, the Millennium Falcon, during the Flamewind phenomenon, with the goal of arresting trillionaire Bohhuah Mutdah. The Flamewind, affecting unprotected beings' perception, caused Fybot to experience a dream transporting him back to Uaua, where he visited his former home.

The Ua system's debut occurred in "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality," a roleplaying game source article by Michael Kogge for Wizards of the Coast. It was published in the fifth issue of Star Wars Gamer magazine on July 24, 2001. This article, expanding on the Centrality sector from L. Neil Smith's 1983 The Lando Calrissian Adventures trilogy, identified Uaua as the Quor'sav homeworld.
However, it wasn't until 2008's publication of The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia that Waywa Fybot, an avian character from Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon, was confirmed as a Quor'sav. Consequently, Fybot's dream visit to his homeworld in that novel was retroactively established as the Ua system's first appearance. The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the system within grid square U-8.
