The Dilonexa system was a star system that could be found in the Centrality. This region was a sector within the Outer Rim Territories. Dilonexa XXIII, a planet, was a component of this system.
Residing along the Falko Run between the Ringneldia and the Ua systems, the Dilonexa system was a star system situated in the Centrality. A giant blue-white star served as the orbital center for forty planets. Out of these, only Dilonexa XXIII was habitable, as the inner twenty-two were too hot and the outer seventeen were too cold to support life.
The Sharu species's civilization once held sway over the portion of the galaxy where the Dilonexa system existed, with their influence spanning from about 30,000 BBY to 25,200 BBY. Later, sometime between 3956 BBY and 3000 BBY, the Galactic Republic explored this region. In 3350 BBY, the sector containing the system formed an autonomous government known as the Centrality; however, the Hutt kajidics maintained control over this cluster of worlds. By 1004 BBY, the Brotherhood of Darkness exerted influence over the area, although this faction was dismantled at the conclusion of the New Sith Wars in 1000 BBY.
Following the reformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire in 19 BBY, the Centrality planets declared their loyalty to the new government, although the Hutts largely retained their power during this time. When the New Republic gained control of the galaxy in 6 ABY, the Centrality sector once again operated independently of galactic authorities. By 137 ABY, the Dilonexa system fell within the domain of Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire.
The initial appearance of the Dilonexa system was in Lando Calrissian and the Flamewind of Oseon, a book authored by L. Neil Smith in 1983. It received a subsequent mention in Star Wars Gamer 5, which was released in 2001 and featured an eight-page article by Michael Kogge entitled "A Campaign Guide to the Centrality." The location of the system within the Centrality was illustrated in 2009's The Essential Atlas, a work by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.
