Ubbal Fenn

Ubbal Fenn held the rank of lieutenant and was a female Human who resided on Corellia during the Galactic Civil War. She belonged to the Meatlump gang, a group known for their aversion to technology.

Biography

Following the Battle of Yavin which occurred in 0 BBY, Fenn was part of a Meatlump group operating from a cave situated close to the city of Tyrena. From this location, they executed their objective: the destruction of all electronic devices on the planet. In 1 ABY, after the Meatlumps targeted Osto Grissom, a starship captain, Major Walden from the Corellian Security Force enlisted an independent operative to look into the assault. The agent tracked the Meatlumps back to their cave and attempted to get Fenn to talk. Upon her refusal, the agent destroyed a significant portion of their provisions and subdued several Meatlumps as a means of persuasion. Fenn eventually confessed that their attack on Grissom was due to his transportation of electronics into and out of the Corellian system. The agent, satisfied with this information, refrained from harming her further.

Behind the scenes

Ubbal Fenn was featured as a non-player character in Star Wars Galaxies, the MMORPG developed by Sony Online Entertainment, before the game's servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. Fenn was introduced to the game via the "Chapter 1: The Corellian Captives" update, which went live on June 8, 2006. She was located within the Meatlump Cave near Tyrena on Corellia and was an integral part of the quest "CorSec Case Files: Assault and Battery," itself a component of the Legacy quest, the game's most extensive questline. Players were required to speak with her, then destroy multiple supply crates by clicking on them, and also eliminate 15 Meatlumps. Following these actions, Fenn revealed the motivation behind the attack, after which the player could return to Major Walden.

During the exchange with Fenn, she made reference to the King of the Meatlumps. This marked only the second instance of this entity being mentioned in the game, following Vani Korr's first newspaper article. The Meatlump King evolved into a widespread urban legend among players on the official forums, who often played jokes on newcomers by instructing them to seek out the Meatlump King. The King did not physically appear in the game until Chapter 10 in June 2008.
