A merchant of Boosodian descent ran a clothing stall named Chiu Mo Threads outside on the planet of Daiyu. During 9 BBY, Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi who was in hiding, and Princess Leia Organa, who he was tasked with saving from capture, were customers at the stand. Kenobi purchased a small green cape from the Boosodian, who responded in an alien language, and then Organa selected a pair of gloves. Even though Kenobi said the additional item wasn't needed, Organa put them on anyway, making Kenobi have to pay for them. Before the Jedi departed, the Boosodian received some credits from Kenobi. The Boosodian had gray skin, white eyes, and was wearing dark hooded clothing.
The Boosodian vendor was seen in "Part II," the second episode of the live-action show Obi-Wan Kenobi, which was broadcast on May 26, 2022. Deborah Chow, the director, proposed during a visit to the creature shop that the Boosodian's head would be perfect for someone skilled at preventing shoplifting. A member of the crew suggested the character could be a store owner who could keep an eye on everyone, which Chow concurred with.
