A droid warden was on duty on the DTE-CSA-17 Calaboose prison ship Palwick during the time of the High Republic Era. The Palwick was transporting numerous prisoners to Coruscant, among them the meknek Osha Aniseya, when some of the inmates devised a plan to break free. When a cyborg convict managed to remotely shut down the transport's pilot droids, forcing the ship out of hyperspace over the planet Carlac, the droid warden reacted to the security issue. A different convict, utilizing a tentacle, reached through the cell bars and seized the droid, ripping its head off. Subsequently, the convict removed the droid's arm and employed it to unlock the cell doors. A human convict then took possession of the arm, using it to unlock yet another cell, after which all the prisoners, excluding Aniseya and one other, made their escape in an escape pod.
The droid warden's visual presence was in "Lost / Found," which was the initial episode of The Acolyte, a series on Disney+, and it premiered on June 4, 2024.
