A male member of the Voss species, originating from their homeworld, served as the Emperor's Voice. During the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, this individual acted as the vessel for the Sith Emperor's essence. This Voice was a Voss Mystic, a Force-user known for their potent prophetic abilities. The Emperor specifically ordered the kidnapping of this Mystic from Voss some years prior to 3640 BBY because of these unique abilities. For several years thereafter, the Voss Mystic was the Emperor's host, with the Sith ruler exploiting the Mystic's powers to foresee future events. However, the Sith Lord Darth Baras managed to ensnare the Emperor and his host within the Dark Heart ruins as part of plot to seize the Emperor's Voice position. The Emperor, confined within his host, who was himself unable to escape the Dark Heart due to its peculiar energies, was then compelled to battle the dark side entity Sel-Makor for control of the Voice. Ultimately, it was only with the arrival of the newly designated Emperor's Wrath that the Emperor could eliminate his Voice, thereby releasing his immortal essence.
