A female of the human species, originating from the region of the galaxy called Lesser Space, served as pilot of a large Lesser Space starship. She worked alongside the Chiss Syndic, Mitth'ras'safis, known as "Thrass," when the vessel crashed during the Vagaari pirate operations around 19 BBY. Her role was that of co-pilot to Thrass, and she tried to rescue innocent human survivors present on the ship. Realizing that their sacrifice was necessary for the survival of the others, they gave their lives. In their final moments, the human female and Thrass voiced their hope for future collaboration and peace between humans and Chiss.

This human female was seen in flashbacks within the 2021 book Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, which concluded Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy. She is equivalent to the character Lorana Jinzler from the Star Wars Legends continuity, a character featured in Zahn's 2006 novel, Outbound Flight. Some of the dialogue spoken between the woman and Thrass in Lesser Evil mirrors dialogue between Jinzler and Thrass' Legends counterpart in Outbound Flight. Much of the plot from Outbound Flight has been integrated into current canon through the Vagaari pirate operations. Before Outbound Flight, skeletal remains that were later identified as Jinzler's appeared in Zahn's 2004 novel Survivor's Quest.
