A Jedi, who was a human of the male variety, was once a member of the Jedi Order. He later left the Order and ultimately passed away on the Outer Rim world of Tao. Before his death, this Jedi gave his lightsaber to an ancestor from the Yasaburō clan, and also instructed him in the art of lightsaber combat.
From that point forward, the Jedi's lightsaber was treated as a treasured object, handed down from parent to child within the Yasaburō family for many years. Every family leader instructed their heir on how to use the lightsaber and then passed it on to them.
This Jedi appeared as a hologram in "Lop & Ochō," which is a short film within the Star Wars: Visions series. Sayawaka wrote it, and Yuki Igarashi directed it. Geno Studio produced the short, and it became available on Disney+ on September 22, 2021.
