A human progenitor of the Yasaburō clan, who was male, resided on the planet Tao, situated in the Outer Rim. Prior to his death, a Jedi who had come to Tao to live out his final days, imparted knowledge of lightsaber combat to this Yasaburō clan ancestor and gave him his lightsaber.
Subsequently, the lightsaber that had belonged to the Jedi transformed into a treasured possession, handed down from parent to offspring throughout the Yasaburō lineage. Every family leader instructed their heir in the art of lightsaber combat and passed the weapon on as a family legacy.
This ancestor's image appeared as a hologram in "Lop & Ochō," a short film within the Star Wars: Visions anthology. The short, penned by Sayawaka and helmed by Yuki Igarashi, was brought to life by Geno Studio and made available on Disney+ on September 22, 2021.
