A single person functioned as the receiving warden at the Imperial Prison Complex located on Narkina 5. Holding one of the most senior officer positions within the complex, along with the prison commander, the intake warden greeted all new arrivals and showed them the prison's distinctive disciplinary approach, which involved the shock-giving Tunqstoid steel floors. During a prison uprising, he and the other guards sought refuge from the fleeing prisoners by barricading themselves inside a storage closet.
The intake warden was seen in the eighth installment of the first season of the live-action show Andor, entitled "Narkina 5." Paul McEwan portrayed him.
