A four-legged droid was used by the bounty hunter known as Boba Fett during his time operating on the Outer Rim Territories planet of Carajam between approximately 2 BBY and 4 ABY. Fett rode this droid as he transported the dead body of a rebel pilot that he had captured, across a desert landscape. During this journey, he came across a settlement inhabited by several criminals, specifically Zingo Gabnit, Turfitch, and another human.
Expecting that Fett was there to hunt them, Gabnit and Turfitch readied themselves for combat. However, Fett instead rode straight through their camp, causing Turfitch to fall over. The bounty hunter continued until he reached a cantina located in a town, at which point the droid lowered itself onto its legs while Fett carried his bounty inside. The droid featured gray segmented armor plating, a stubby tail, and an orange sensor with a central light. It also had a saddle and reins for riding.
This quadrupedal droid was originally designed for the one-shot comic titled Age of Rebellion - Boba Fett 1. Greg Pak wrote the comic, Marc Laming provided the pencils, and Marvel Comics published it on May 8, 2019 as a part of the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion comic book series. Before the comic was released to the public, the droid was shown in an article posted on StarWars.com on April 15 of that same year, which served as a preview of the comic's contents.
