Unidentified Rebel commander (Haven)

A person of the Human species fought with the Rebel Alliance during the time of the Galactic Civil War. This individual held a position of command aboard a GR-75 medium transport, an integral part of the primary Alliance Fleet. After the Battle of Hoth, which occurred in 3 ABY, the surviving ships gathered at a secret, remote location in space, a designated meeting place situated beyond the edge of the Galactic Rim. However, their hidden position was soon discovered by an Imperial Strike cruiser. The Rebel officer in charge then orchestrated a counter-offensive against the approaching Imperial warship, successfully contributing to the destruction of the Strike cruiser before it could transmit the fleet's coordinates. Despite this victory, the Rebels' secrecy was now at risk, leading the commander to redirect the fleet back toward the main galaxy.

Biography

Imperial intrusion

The Rebel commander directs the Alliance Fleet's attack on the Imperial Strike cruiser.

Following the Rebel Alliance's setback during the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY, the Alliance Fleet convened at a pre-arranged point of rendezvous situated far beyond the Galactic Rim, given the code name Haven. The fleet's battered remnants were desperately seeking both a safe harbor and new allies in their ongoing conflict with the Galactic Empire. During that period, a Human was in command of one of the GR-75 medium transports within the Alliance Fleet.

Heroes of the Rebel Alliance, namely Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia Organa, and Lando Calrissian, made their way to the rendezvous location after escaping the Empire's capture of Bespin's Cloud City, an event which resulted in their comrade Han Solo being taken prisoner by the bounty hunter known as Boba Fett. As Skywalker and Organa recuperated from their ordeal on board the medical frigate named Redemption, Calrissian soon left the fleet piloting the starship Millennium Falcon in pursuit of Solo, with the ultimate aim of reuniting with his friends on the planet Tatooine. However, only a few hours after Calrissian's departure, an Imperial Strike-class cruiser inadvertently stumbled upon the Alliance Fleet's position. The Rebel officer, communicating with Organa from their GR-75 medium transport ship, announced that the fleet was changing course to intercept the hostile intruder.

Strike cruiser eliminated

The Rebel commander took charge of the subsequent engagement, urgently directing the X-wing starfighters of Rogue Squadron to eliminate the Imperial Strike cruiser before it could transmit the Alliance Fleet's location. By implementing jamming tactics, the fleet prevented the Strike cruiser from successfully sending a message, even as the Imperial ship launched a number of TIE fighters to confront Rogue Squadron. Both the commander's transport and the Rogues engaged in combat with the TIEs, rapidly destroying the enemy fighters, which in turn prompted the Strike cruiser to turn and attempt to escape. The Strike cruiser's decision to allocate all available power to its rear defensive shields as it retreated blocked any pursuing fire from the commander's transport, but it also left the remainder of the ship exposed. Rogue Squadron took advantage of this vulnerability and destroyed the Imperial Strike cruiser.

Informing Leia Organa of the fleet's course change

Despite achieving victory, the Rebels' secrecy had been compromised. As a safety measure, the commander altered the fleet's course, and the armada soon broke formation and began heading back toward the galaxy's central plane. Speaking to Organa aboard the Redemption using a viewscreen, the commander explained that their decision might well delay the princess's plans to travel to Tatooine, but Organa understood that the fleet's security was the most important consideration.

Personality and traits

The Rebel commander had a head of shaggy, light-brown hair, with brown eyes, and a light complexion. Additionally, the commander sported a beard.
