Inquiry Regarding Huppla Pasa in the Geektionary

Hello Omicron! I hope you're doing well. When you have a moment, I was hoping you could perhaps consult Star Wars: Geektionary: The Galaxy from A - Z for me. My objective is to determine if any canonical sources definitively state that the Huppla Pasa Tisc Shipwrights Collective was Geonosian-operated or based on Geonosis, given that the existing source (Star Wars Journeys: Beginnings) isn't currently accessible. Geektionary is the final source I need to investigate, and unfortunately, I lack access to it. Therefore, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. I don't anticipate Huppla Pasa having its own dedicated entry, so it might be mentioned within entries related to the Geonosian starfighter, Dooku's solar sailer, or even those concerning Geonosians and Geonosis. Thank you very much! DwartiiDelver (talk) 23:08, 3 January 2021 (UTC)

  • Understood, I appreciate you taking the time to check for me! DwartiiDelver (talk) 01:09, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

A Suggestion for Formatting

Greetings, I wanted to offer a suggestion pertaining to your edit located here. It is generally considered a good practice to incorporate regular paragraph breaks instead of presenting a large block of text, as this can detract from the visual appeal for readers. Numerous articles have had their status downgraded due to the presence of extensive paragraphs lacking breaks (primarily as a result of the transition from Monobook to Oasis). Regarding Mustafarian Lava X

Hello there, Omicron! I'm just giving you a heads-up, in case you aren't monitoring the specific page, that I have posted a response here to your suggestion regarding the merging of Mustafarian Lava Roll with Mustafarian Lava Bun. Let's engage in a discussion about it! Immi Thrax (talk) 21:03, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

I Wanted to Say Sorry

I apologize if my actions caused any trouble or complications. I was genuinely intending to be helpful.

Please Refrain From Deleting Content

Please cease deleting content. In Tales of Jabba's Palace, it is stated that when Oola resists Jabba, she is indifferent to the guards beating her again. Furthermore, both Tales of Jabba's Palace and Beware the Power of the Dark Side indicate that Oola would prefer death over complying with Jabba's desires.

Tales of Jabba's Palace also mentions Oola being locked away, horrified, as the Rancor consumes someone. She does not wish to witness the person's demise, but she is also frightened of the Rancor. It also states that "She hoped she was next on the menu." However, when she was about to be eaten by the Rancor, both Tales of Jabba's Palace and Beware the Power of the Dark Side state that she attempted to move away from the trapdoor as Jabba pressed the button, but she was unable to evade it quickly enough.

Two books discuss Oola's attempt to escape the trapdoor when Jabba intended to kill her. To reiterate, two books or novels mention this. Does anyone actually read the books, or if you and others do, do they not observe those specific details when reading? Thick Metal (talk) 4:06 December 23 (UTC)

Dathomir Information from Galactic Explorer's Guide

Greetings Omicron! I am curious if you could relay the information that the Galactic Explorer's Guide provides about Dathomir. Thank you for your time! AmazinglyCool (talk) 14:08, 27 February 2022 (UTC)

Regarding the reversion of Lucrehulk: The following information was reverted:

The name Lucrehulk is a combination of "lucre," which signifies "Money, riches, or wealth, especially when seen as having a corrupting effect or causing greed, or obtained in an underhanded manner," and "hulk," which signifies "A large or unwieldy boat, other object, or person. Also an old ship stripped of fittings and permanently moored, especially for use as storage or (formerly) as a prison."

How can any of that be considered speculation?

Fact 1: "Lucre" is a word with the definition provided.

Fact 2: "Hulk" is a word with the definition provided.

Fact 3: "Lucrehulk" is a combination of the words "Lucre" and "Hulk."

There was no claim that the authors were aware of the definitions of either word (although it's evident they were, given that writers are literate) or that they intentionally combined them (although it's clear they did, as it aligns with the Trade Federation).

This is akin to discussing the word "Battleship" and deeming it speculative to state that it is a combination of "Battle" and "Ship."

Concerning Categories

I have seen your message, and it seems I have already made a slight error in fulfilling your request, as I was unaware of it. I am unsure how I missed it, but I will cease for as long as I can remember. My reason for adding the Czerka products to the main Czerka category stems from the category's description, which states: "This category is for any thing related to Czerka." To prevent others from making the same mistake, I propose a modification to that description. Something more specific, such as: "This is a directory category containing sub-categories on specifics pertaining to Czerka. This is not a category for specific pages." This could include a hyperlinked word (Czerka) to direct browsers to Czerka's main article, thereby keeping it out of the category. Baron Joshua (talk) 01:02, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

Due to pre-existing anxiety, I may have overstepped boundaries by editing the description after another user edited it in a way that I thought would only encourage others to repeat my mistake. If I have indeed erred in this, I will not object. In truth, I intended no harm and should have reviewed editing policies before acting as I did. I can only hope that the new description achieves my intended purpose, although, given my current state of panic, I will refrain from making further changes to avoid exacerbating my fear, as I have already made a few grammatical errors. Regarding Chronicles

You were citing information in the introduction for Guardians, which was unnecessary, and technically, you were citing all the preceding information to Chronicles, which would not be accurate. As for Hedda, from what I can tell, the information was properly cited to Light of the Jedi, and again, you were citing all the preceding information to Chronicles, which is not entirely citeable to Chronicles. I hope this clarifies things! Lewisr (talk) 21:16, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

Concerning Pako

Then those pages should be updated to reflect the current information, as they simply haven't been yet. The standard practice in this situation is to include the information in a note. If you require validation, I hope these featured articles suffice. I suggest examining Maximian Ajax, Winshur Bratt, L'ulo L'ampar, Ruescott Melshi, Theron Nett, Vlex Onopin, to mention a few. Lewisr (talk) 20:09, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

How does that constitute vandalism?

Re: Pako (Witherbloom)

Ah, that's a valid point. I based my assessment on the character's overall design. Additionally, there's the fact that we have gray Kadas'sa'Nikto. (although it might just be an eye-related characteristic) Bonzane10 (holonet) 16:10, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

Regarding Mayan

A "star war" refers to a significant conflict between rival political entities within the Maya civilization during the first millennium AD. The term originates from a specific glyph used in the Maya script, depicting a star showering the earth with liquid droplets or a star positioned above a shell. This glyph represents a verb, but its precise phonemic value and specific meaning remain undeciphered. The designation "star war" was introduced by the epigrapher Linda Schele to denote the glyph and, by extension, the type of conflict it signifies.

Maya inscriptions categorize instances of Maya warfare into four distinct groups, each represented by a unique glyph. Those deemed most significant by the Maya were described using the "star war" glyph, signifying a major war resulting in the defeat of one political entity by another. This could indicate the establishment of a new dynastic line of rulers, the complete subjugation of one political entity by another, or a successful war of independence waged by a previously dominated political entity.

Experiencing defeat in a "star war" could have devastating consequences for the losing party. The earliest recorded "star war" in 562, between Caracol and Tikal, resulted in a 120-year period of decline for the latter city. This period was characterized by a decrease in Tikal's population, a cessation of monument construction, and the destruction of certain monuments in the Great Plaza. When Calakmul triumphed over Naranjo in a "star war" on December 24, 631, it led to the torture and possible consumption of Naranjo's ruler. Another "star war" in February 744 resulted in Tikal's sacking of Caracol and the capture of a personal god effigy belonging to its ruler. An inscription from a monument discovered at Tortuguero (dating from 669) describes the aftermath of a "star war": "the blood was pooled, the skulls were piled."

It appears to be an interesting piece of trivia, especially on a page that is already a stub about the ancient Early Mayan polis serving as a filming location. If you find it uninteresting, feel free to remove it. However, it strikes me as a noteworthy coincidence, and it is factually accurate.

Concerning Grelli Cryko

Hello Omicron, my name is Greg Kufera, and I portrayed Grelli Cryko in "Obi-Wan Kenobi." I recently discovered that my character has been given a name, so I came to add information about who played the character (myself, haha), but I have never edited Wookieepedia before, so I am not sure if I did it correctly. I noticed that you reverted my change. Should I include IMDb as a reference? I was not permitted to take any photos on set of my Melitto character Grelli, but I have portrayed 13 species across "The Mandalorian," "Book of Boba Fett," and "Ahsoka." I would greatly appreciate any assistance you could provide. Thank you!
