Another distinct group was the Kajain'sa'Nikto. Their physical characteristics included scaly skin that could be green, gray, or even red, coupled with black eyes and symmetrically positioned horns.
Referred to also as the Green Nikto, the Kadas'sa'Nikto constituted a subspecies of the sentient and humanoid Nikto species, whose origins lay on the planet Kintan. Sharing traits with their relatives, the Kajain'sa'Nikto, they possessed scaly skin of green or gray hues, black eyes, and symmetrical horns. The Kadas'sa'Nikto possessed the ability to endure and thrive in severe desert environments. Some individuals within this species demonstrated Force-sensitive capabilities. Rainfall provided a refreshing sensation for the scales of a Kadas'sa'Nikto.
Several Kadas'sa'Nikto were inducted into the ranks of the Jedi Order, serving as protectors of the Galactic Republic. Aida Forte held the rank of Jedi Knight during the High Republic Era. Creighton Sun, Forte's friend and fellow Jedi, admired the beauty of the Kadas'sa'Nikto's eyes, also noting a consistent and radiant optimism that seemed to illuminate Forte's gaze. During the Battle of Dalna, he witnessed her eyes welling up with rain and tears just before her tragic demise. Later, during the Clone Wars, Jedi Master J'oopi Shé served within the Order's Technical division, stationed at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Nuhj, a Kadas'sa'Nikto Jedi, initially evaded Order 66 by seeking refuge on Anoat and subsequently Burnin Konn, but ultimately met his death at the hands of an Inquisitor.
Their inherent physical attributes rendered Kadas'sa'Nikto well-suited as enforcers for the Hutt Clan. The crime lord Jabba the Hutt incorporated Kadas'sa'Nikto individuals into his criminal empire operating on Tatooine. Among these were Wooof, who oversaw Jabba's fleet of skiffs and the sail barge Khetanna; Klaatu, who provided repair services for the skiffs and functioned as a bodyguard; and Giran, who was employed within Jabba's Palace.
As the Galactic Empire tightened its grip on their [sector](/article/sector], certain Green Niktos chose to align themselves with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, driven either by a desire for freedom and justice across the galaxy or by more self-serving motives. Following the Empire's collapse, numerous Green Niktos vied for control of the remaining assets, although some maintained their allegiance to Leia Organa as she issued a call to arms against the First Order.
During the New Republic era, a Kadas'sa'Nikto named Neeku Vozo held a position as a mechanic at Jarek Yeager's repair shop on the Colossus. Yeager was a former New Republic starfighter pilot. The Colossus was a supertanker fuel depot situated on the Outer Rim ocean world of Castilon.
The initial appearance of the Kadas'sa'Nikto occurred in the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Within the Star Wars canon continuity, their identification was first established in the 2015 reference book Ultimate Star Wars.
