Synopsis of the Story

A Lambda-class T-4a shuttle touches down inside the formidable battlestation known as the Death Star. A formation of officers and troopers awaits, anticipating the arrival of the shuttle's occupant, Darth Vader. As the Dark Lord of the Sith traverses the line of Imperials, a nurse steals a glance, eager to catch a glimpse of Lord Vader.

Her superior, a doctor, swiftly seizes the nurse, pulling her back into the corridor from which she emerged and instructing her to return to the supply closet as originally intended. The nurse mutters under her breath while gathering the necessary supplies for the impending medical procedure. Her focus shifts when she spots Lord Vader walking along the corridor, causing her to inadvertently collide the supply cart with the doorframe. The nurse loses her balance, crashing into the wall behind her, but the Sith Lord continues onward without pause.

The nurse indulges in fantasies of a shared life with Lord Vader, her obsession intensifying with each passing moment. She convinces herself that she possesses a deeper understanding of him than the doctor, or anyone else for that matter. Snapping back to reality, she rushes to the procedure room. Upon opening the door, she begins to discuss the dwindling supply of capacitors before noticing Lord Vader's presence. The Doctor quickly reattaches the Sith Lord's helmet, yelling at the nurse to leave. Vader responds by using the Force to hurl the doctor across the room, which the nurse misinterprets as Lord Vader defending her from the doctor, despite her own culpability.

Following the procedure, the doctor expresses his apologies for the extended duration as Vader dons his cape. The doctor then directs the nurse to tidy up the room in his absence. She complies, but secretly retains a small memento, adding it to her growing collection of artifacts from procedures involving Lord Vader, including a vial containing his blood.

Later, Lord Vader returns to the hangar as his personal TIE fighter stands ready. He promptly disregards the officer dispatched to inquire about his well-being and proceeds towards the doctor's office. There, he encounters the nurse, whom he instructs to summon the doctor. The nurse arranges a few items in the procedure room before the doctor arrives, apologizing for the nurse's delay in informing him. The doctor hurries the nurse out of the room, and she once again daydreams about the Dark Lord requiring her assistance.

Lord Vader abruptly departs from the procedure room, against the doctor's wishes, stating his need to return to the battlefield. The doctor instructs the nurse to thoroughly clean the procedure room, which she commences before realizing that Lord Vader has left his cape behind. Interpreting this as a sign of his affection, the nurse takes possession of the cape. She wanders around the room, lost in a daydream of dancing with the Sith Lord, only to be interrupted by the doctor.

The doctor discovers her with the cape and confiscates it, asserting that she must possess a death wish to steal from Lord Vader. He then notices the nurse's box containing her collection of Lord Vader's belongings and seizes it along with the cape. He discards the collection down a garbage chute, warning her of the consequences should Lord Vader discover her actions. The nurse, seized by panic, rushes to the trash compactor, desperately searching through the foul-smelling waters in a futile attempt to recover her treasures. She lapses into another daydream, this time envisioning herself using force choking on the doctor in a fit of rage.

Now resolute, the nurse makes her way to Vader's meditation chamber and enters without hesitation. Inside, the life support pod is open, revealing Lord Vader without his helmet. The nurse begins to declare her love and devotion for the Sith Lord, repeatedly emphasizing her deep understanding of him. To her utter surprise, she is impaled by Vader's lightsaber. Vader replaces his helmet and contacts the bridge, instructing someone to remove the body from the chamber, dismissing it as refuse.
