Valahari, a planet situated within the galaxy, gained recognition during the era of the Clone Wars. This conflict involved the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was particularly known for its homegrown starfighter experts and technical designers. The planet's name was also used for the Valahari flight harness, a kind of flight harness employed during the Clone Wars and by Corus Kapellim, a smuggler, during the conflict between the First Order and the Resistance.
The name Valahari initially appeared in the new Star Wars canon within Rise of the Separatists. This was a 2019 addition to the Star Wars Roleplaying series created by Fantasy Flight Games. Within the Star Wars Legends timeline, Valahari was first seen in the tenth edition of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars comic series. This comic was written by Henry Gilroy and Steven Melching, with artwork by Brian Koschak, and published by Dark Horse Comics on November 11, 2009.
