Valen-Da

Valen-Da was a Voss Mystic of significant power, and of male gender, who existed during the time of the Galactic War.

Biography

Valen was deeply troubled by the dark presence of Sel-Makor residing within the Dark Heart circa 3640 BBY. He conceived a plan to eliminate this entity and cleanse the Nightmare Lands of its corrupting influence. He experienced a Force vision where a Sith Lord, a Jedi Knight, and a Voss Commando played key roles in Sel-Makor's destruction. Upon encountering Lord Fulminiss, Valen-Da identified him as the Sith from his prophetic vision and consented to collaborate with him, solely to ensure the vision's fulfillment. The Sith and the Mystic journeyed together to the Nightmare Lands, pursued by the Hero of Tython and the Voss Commando Tala-Reh.

Inside the Dark Heart, the Hero prevailed over Fulminiss, and Tala-Reh gave her life to eliminate Sel-Makor. Valen-Da vowed that her selflessness would be remembered and then returned to Voss-Ka.

Behind the scenes

Valen-Da is a character that is not playable within the massively multiplayer online role playing game Star Wars: The Old Republic, which was launched by BioWare in 2011. The voice acting for him is provided by Fred Tatasciore.

A choice exists where the player, if aligned with the dark side, can offer Valen-Da as a sacrifice to Sel-Makor, thereby saving Tala-Reh. Additionally, one can kill him out of revulsion subsequent to Tala-Reh's sacrifice.
