A dwelling situated in a valley, owned by Jareck Arned, a reclusive male Human, existed on Corellia during the era of the Galactic Civil War. He was known as a hermit.
By the Battle of Yavin, this secluded house was the residence of Jareck Arned, who lived a solitary existence. Its location was in a mountainous area, a short distance to the northeast of Doaba Guerfel, a city on Corellia. The house was decorated with items such as a throw pillow originating from Kuat and a hologram of a Corellian corvette. On a shelf, there were two keepsakes: a Jawa idol, crafted by hand and originating from Tatooine, and a sculpture that was rare but broken.
In the year 1 ABY, a group of hikers vanished in the mountains, near that house. Later, Arned was questioned by a spacer who worked for Commander Talte of the Corellian Security Force. The hermit cooperated and allowed a search of his home. The spacer then found some items in the house linked to a series of abductions. Arned admitted that he had purchased the majority of these items from a traveling artisan. He also stated that he had discovered one of the art pieces in the nearby mountains just the day before. Because of this, the spacer decided to investigate these claims. The spacer eventually learned that the cave-dwellers, a group of criminals, had captured the hikers.
The valley home appeared as a location in Star Wars Galaxies, the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game from 2003, before the game's servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. It was included in the game through the "Publish 28," update, which was released on April 26, 2006.
