The cave-dwellers were a criminal organization and anti-government group that operated on Corellia during the time of the Galactic Civil War.
By the time the Battle of Yavin occurred, the cave-dwellers were an anti-establishment criminal group on Corellia that stood in opposition to the Corellian government. At some point, Raynod Menar, who led the group, made the decision to relocate all members of the movement to the wilderness of Corellia, with the intention of living apart from the rest of society. Ultimately, they sought refuge within a cave located in the Thaos Mountains.

In 1 ABY, two separate groups of hikers were captured in the Thaos Mountains by the psychotic cave-dwellers. Ilyamo, along with other hikers, were held captive inside the cave inhabited by the dwellers. Consequently, Commander Talte of the Corellian Security Force engaged a spacer to look into the disappearances of the hikers. The spacer engaged in combat with several cave-dwellers at the location where the second group vanished. Utilizing a communicator discovered on a deceased cave-dweller, the spacer was successful in triangulating a signal that led to the cave. Eventually, CorSec launched an assault on the cave and successfully freed the hostages. During the attack, Raynod Menar was killed by the spacer.
The cave-dwellers made an appearance in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before its closure on December 15, 2011. The cave-dwellers were incorporated into the game with the release of "Publish 28," on April 26, 2006.
