Talte, a Human male hailing from Corellia, served as an officer within the Corellian Security Force during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
Sometime after the Battle of Yavin, Talte achieved the rank of commander in the Corellian Security Force and was stationed in the city of Doaba Guerfel. In the year 1 ABY, he enlisted the help of a spacer who previously collaborated with his colleague, Captain Jark, while in Tyrena.
Commander Talte was dealing with a series of disappearances and tasked the spacer with investigating the cause. The missing individuals were hikers who had vanished in the Thaos Mountains. To gather information about the trail, the spacer questioned Angela, the wife of one of the missing hikers, Ilyamo. The spacer also interviewed Myron Beech, the organizer of the hiking trail. Later, the spacer encountered [Jareck Arned](/article/jareck_arned], a recluse living in the mountains, and searched his home situated along the hiking trail. However, another group of people suddenly went missing. The spacer immediately went to the location where the second group disappeared and engaged in combat with several cave-dwellers, a criminal and anti-government organization. From a communicator discovered on a body, Commander Talte was able to trace a signal to a cave. Consequently, Talte instructed the spacer to rescue the hostages before their execution. Ultimately, Commander Talte's forces stormed the cave and successfully freed the hostages. During the assault, the spacer killed the cave-dweller leader, Raynod Menar.
Commander Talte made an appearance as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and brought to the public by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. The addition of Commander Talte to the game occurred with the "Publish 28," update, which was released on April 26, 2006.
