Varna

Varna, serving under the command of Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Clone Wars, was a [Clone Commander](/article/clone_commander] within the Grand Army of the Republic and a [clone trooper](/article/clone_trooper]. He perished in a Low Altitude Assault Transport while withdrawing from the siege of Devalok. He held the military rank of commander.

Biography

On Kamino, Varna, a clone originating from the human male Jango Fett, was born into existence on that [world](/article/planet]. As the [Clone Wars](/article/clone_wars] raged across the galactic landscape between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Varna was deployed to Devalok during the Republic's evacuation of its remaining personnel. Amidst the conflict, Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, found themselves separated from the main force. Kenobi reached out to Varna, requesting a [Low Altitude Assault Transport](/article/low_altitude_assault_transport]. Subsequently, Varna arrived with the gunship, facilitating the extraction of surviving civilians. As the craft ascended, it faced intense fire from Separatist droids, resulting in Varna being shot and killed.

Personality and traits

Varna, like the other clones derived from Jango Fett, possessed a height of 1.83 [meters](/article/meter]. He demonstrated obedience by promptly fulfilling Kenobi's request for a gunship.
