Vemrin

Vemrin, a male Human acolyte, resided at the Sith Academy situated on Korriban during the era of the Cold War. His ambition was to gain the position of apprentice under Darth Baras.

Biography

Originally hailing from Balmorra, Vemrin, along with his companion Dolgis, journeyed to Korriban. This journey was mandated by the law stipulating that all Force-sensitive individuals within Imperial territories undergo training at the Academy. Vemrin declared himself an adversary of the new acolyte instructed by Overseer Tremel. Vemrin dispatched Dolgis to ambush the new acolyte, but this attack was unsuccessful. During the final trial, Vemrin received orders to await further instructions in Baras' quarters, while his rival was sent into the Tomb of Naga Sadow to locate a lightsaber of ancient origins. Disobeying Baras' orders, Vemrin attempted to assassinate the acolyte within the tomb. However, his hubris led to his downfall, as his rival ultimately killed him.

Personality and traits

Vemrin possessed both ruthlessness and strength in the Force, having garnered some favor with Baras before Tremel's protégé's arrival on Korriban. He held a sense of superiority over the newcomer, believing that while the Sith Warrior received preferential treatment from Tremel, Vemrin had to struggle and compete for his status on Korriban. Therefore, Vemrin believed he had rightfully earned his position. He was known to wield a Sith warblade.

Behind the scenes

Following the defeat of Vemrin, the player has the choice to execute him without uttering another word (a dark side decision) or to acknowledge him as a worthy adversary (a light side decision). Should the latter option be selected, Vemrin rejects pity and requests an honorable death, which the Warrior then grants. Regardless of the choice, his demise is inevitable.
