In the Stenness Node region, within the Aweris system, existed Taboon, an Inner Rim planet. Orbiting Taboon was its singular moon, named Vo Dasha. This desolate world, characterized by its mountainous terrain, deep canyons, and expansive rocky plains, possessed a Type II atmosphere. This necessitated that anyone venturing onto Vo Dasha's surface be equipped with breath masks. By 3999 BBY, the notorious crime lord Bogga the Hutt, operating from the Stenness Node, had extended his influence over Vo Dasha and its surrounding territories. Consequently, Bogga established his primary base of operations and opulent estate upon this moon. As a result, the moon became the focal point of Bogga's criminal empire, the crime lord's personal residence, and a docking location for Bogga's fleet, which included the formidable dreadnaught known as the Enforcer One. In 3999 BBY, the Enforcer One transported a captured gang of pirates, under the leadership of Finhead Stonebone, to Vo Dasha. Their purpose was to meet with Bogga the Hutt, who subsequently dispatched the pirates on a mission to the planet Ambria.
Within the Stenness Node, specifically in the Aweris system of the Airon sector, resided Taboon, an Inner Rim planet with a single orbiting moon called Vo Dasha. The terrain of Vo Dasha was barren, mainly consisting of rocky plains, canyons, and mountains. Its Type II atmosphere required visitors to wear breath masks when on the surface. The climate was hot and arid, and gravity was light. A day on Vo Dasha lasted twelve standard hours, while a year consisted of one hundred sixty-seven local days. Among the native species was a type of two-headed, airborne reptavian. Furthermore, various immigrated species inhabited the moon, including Hutts, Humans, and Weequay.
The formation of the yellow star Awer and its lone satellite, Taboon, originated from the collapse of a vast molecular cloud. Over time, Taboon acquired Vo Dasha as its moon. By 3999 BBY, Vo Dasha had become integrated into the criminal empire controlled by the local crime lord Bogga the Hutt. Bogga established his estate and operational headquarters on the moon. Consequently, Vo Dasha served as the docking location for Bogga's fleet, including the massive dreadnaught known as the Enforcer One. In 3999 BBY, the Enforcer One returned to Vo Dasha after a mission, carrying pirates that had been taken captive during an attempted raid on an Ithullan ore hauler within the Stenness Node. Grimorg, a Weequay and one of Bogga's chief enforcers, escorted the pirate gang to Vo Dasha. There, Bogga offered their leader, Finhead Stonebone, freedom in exchange for retrieving a lost shipment of Adegan crystals from Ambria, a desolate planet, which was held by Thon, a Jedi Master and Bogga's sworn enemy. Stonebone accepted the proposition, and he and his gang departed from Vo Dasha aboard their ships, the Marauder Starjacker and the Stenness Raider.
Initially, Vo Dasha was inhabited by approximately two hundred fifty sentient beings, although the population increased significantly in subsequent years. All inhabitants were associated with Bogga's criminal organization. The residents of Vo Dasha were primarily confined to Bogga's estate. These individuals included Bogga himself, Grimorg, and numerous slaves belonging to the Hutt crime lord.
The main landmark on Vo Dasha was the estate of Bogga the Hutt, the Stenness Node-based crime lord. Due to Vo Dasha's inhospitable atmosphere, Bogga's estate was hermetically sealed and situated atop one of the moon's most prominent peaks. The Hutt crime lord utilized this fortress as the operational hub for all his illicit activities. Bogga's estate comprised meeting chambers, storage facilities, docking and maintenance bays, weapons lockers, living quarters, a sizable dungeon complex, and a throne room/audience chamber.
Vo Dasha made its debut in Tales of the Jedi: The Saga of Nomi Sunrider, the second story arc within the Tales of the Jedi comic book series, authored by Tom Veitch and published from late 1993 to early 1994. The moon was first featured in the arc's second issue, and later reappeared in the arc's third and final issue. In these appearances, Vo Dasha was illustrated by David Roach.
