Vranki, also known as Vranki the Blue, was a male Hutt who operated a hotel and casino.
As the owner, greeter, and main advertiser for Vranki's Hotel and Casino, Vranki the Blue's large body moved around his resort, managing his vast kingdom of gambling and racing. Despite his self-professed uniqueness from other Hutts, Vranki would still cheat to make sure he had an advantage, particularly when a large reward was at stake.
Vranki debuted in the Star Wars Resistance episode "The Voxx Vortex 5000," with John DiMaggio providing the voice. In the episode's initial draft, Vranki's name was "Janki", but this was later altered. Art director Amy Beth Christenson stated that Vranki was initially intended to sport a hat, but this was switched to a Lando Calrissian-esque cape during the design process. To set him apart from other Hutts, Vranki received a more approachable face and a nose that turned upwards.
