Wizard's Tower served as the communications hub on the Invisible Hand, a Separatist Providence-class Dreadnought that participated in the Battle of Coruscant. Count Dooku, the head of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, equipped a portion of the tower. This gave him the ability to transmit his own propaganda without restriction across both the Republic's HoloNet network and the Separatist Shadowfeed.
In the course of the battle, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine was abducted by General Grievous and held within the tower; nonetheless, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, aided by R2-D2, were able to find him and successfully save him from Grievous, as well as eliminate Dooku.
