Woteba, a planet, existed within the Utegetu Nebula, located in the Wild Space. Its position was between Reecee and Adumar.
Its discovery occurred in the year 10 BBY. As part of the stipulations outlined in the Qoribu Truce, the Killiks hailing from the Colony consented to establish settlements on Woteba and thirteen additional planets situated in the Utegetu Nebula. This agreement was made to prevent further expansion into Chiss territories. The artistic Saras hive colonized Woteba.
The terrain of the planet was characterized by bogs, swamps, mountains, and conifer forests composed of hamogoni trees. Woteba also possessed a unique stone that the Killiks mined. When a nova, which resulted in the formation of the Utegetu Nebula, impacted the planet, all animal life perished. However, the planet's defense system restored plant life within a span of two years.
While appearing to be an ideal location for Killik colonization, the planet possessed an age-old environmental defense mechanism. This system would target the Killiks whenever they disrupted the ecosystem, obliterating structures and living organisms with a corrosive substance referred to as Fizz.
The Killiks harbored the belief that the Jedi had deliberately directed them to Woteba, intending for them to fall victim to the Fizz. However, this was untrue and was simply a fabrication propagated by the Dark Nest.
In the year 36 ABY, the Killiks departed from the Nebula aboard fourteen nest ships constructed within the area known as the Tusken's Eye, accompanied by the nest ship belonging to the Dark Nest. This fleet seized the Galactic Alliance Star Destroyer Admiral Ackbar to prepare for an invasion of Chiss territory.
