Wroshyr sap syrup functioned as a sauce when used as the glaze for Glazed Kod'yok, a meal prepared using kod'yok flesh. This syrup originated from the sap extracted from the wroshyr tree found on Kashyyyk, the homeworld of the Wookiee species. Following the release of his initial cookbook by Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs in 34 ABY, he featured a Glazed Kod'yok recipe in his holiday-centric cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, specifying that the traditional wroshyr sap syrup was a required component for the recipe.
The inclusion of wroshyr sap syrup occurred in the 2021 cookbook, Star Wars: The Life Day Cookbook, penned by Marc Sumerak along with Jenn Fujikawa. The recipe for Glazed Kod'yok, as presented out-of-universe, suggests using maple syrup as a substitute for the invented wroshyr sap syrup.
