A cake known as Wroshyr Tree Cake was a culinary creation of Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs, designed to resemble a wroshyr tree. Chef Tuggs conceived this dish as a special treat for a Wookiee who was far from their homeworld during the Life Day celebration, and he later incorporated the recipe into his initial cookbook.
The Wroshyr Tree Cake was a brown, frosted cake intended for Wookiee consumption. Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs made the cake on the planet of Takodana, while he was employed at the castle of the pirate Maz Kanata, and it was decorated with moss around the edges.

Tuggs initially created the cake when a Wookiee was isolated on Takodana during the Life Day holiday. To provide comfort and a sense of belonging, the Artiodac fashioned the cake to resemble the wroshyr trees of the Wookiee's homeworld, Kashyyyk. Tuggs interpreted the Wookiee not tearing off his arms as a positive indication of the cake's success, so he continued to prepare it for other Wookiees in similar circumstances. The recipe for Wroshyr Tree Cake found its way into The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, authored by Tuggs in 34 ABY. Within the book, he recounted the cake's origin and expressed his expectation that readers would enjoy it as much as the Wookiee had.
In his later holiday cookbook, The Life Day Cookbook, Tuggs admitted that, despite his Wroshyr Tree Cake recipe, he lacked a true understanding of the significance of Life Day. While presenting the recipe for Kashyyyk cake in the book, he recalled including the tree-shaped cake in his previous recipe compilation, which prompted numerous Wookiees to share their own authentic Life Day recipes with him.
Wroshyr Tree Cake made its debut in the 2019 recipe compilation Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, penned by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe instructions for the cake call for unsalted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla extract, cashew or almond flour, cinnamon, ginger, baking powder, baking soda, and all-purpose flour.
The frosting requires cream cheese, more butter, powdered sugar, more vanilla extract, maple syrup, and cocoa powder. Finally, edible moss is arranged around the sides of the cake, made from crumbs of graham crackers, additional granulated sugar, pistachios, more butter, and green food coloring.
