The tandem X-wing began as a bespoke project, ultimately left unfinished on Baramorra by its original commissioner. Kir Kanos, operating under the alias of Kenix Kil, a bounty hunter, later obtained it. Kanos utilized this craft to depart the planet, leaving behind the Skipray Blastboat he had arrived in. Subsequently, Kanos piloted the ship to Genon with the intention of infiltrating the organization led by Grappa, a member of the Hutt species.
Subsequently, Tav Kennede came into possession of the starfighter and employed it to journey to Xo in 11 ABY, where he conducted a rescue operation to free Kir Kanos and Mirith Sinn from the Zanibar. Shortly thereafter, Kennede and Sinn piloted the same fighter during a New Republic assault directed against the fortress of Grappa, the Hutt, situated on Genon. Following his execution of Xandel Carivus, Kanos made use of the fighter to effect his escape from the pursuing New Republic fleet.
