The Yavin Code, a set of rules, was created at the Yavin Convention. This occurred about a millennium before 19 BBY, and it mandated that prisoners should have their eyes covered before they were executed. The gas giant planet Yavin shares its name with this Code.
Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker stated that Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi often referred to the Yavin Code. He mentioned it just before his scheduled execution, having been captured on a Separatist supply ship during a mission to Utapau in 19 BBY. As Separatist battle droids led him towards the ship's execution chamber, Kenobi pointed out the Yavin Code's requirement for blindfolding prisoners. This confused the droids, and it served to delay them, allowing Skywalker time to rescue him. After Skywalker arrived and defeated the droids, Kenobi commented that the Code seemed to be forgotten, which Skywalker attributed to its antiquity.
The Yavin Code is referenced in "The Big Bang," an incomplete episode from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series. This episode was made available without charge on StarWars.com on September 25, 2014.
