Following the Clone Wars, the Imperial forces erased the system, along with any related data, from their navigational charts and other repositories of information.
The Ziost system initially appeared in The Essential Atlas, a 2009 reference work authored by Jason Fry and [Daniel Wallace]. While the Appendix of The Essential Atlas identified the system's location as grid square R-5, the Sith Worlds map in the book situated it in square R-4. This discrepancy was mirrored in the StarWars.com Online Companion for the book. This article operates under the assumption that the Appendix section of the book contains an error and that R-4 represents the system's accurate location.
