Before the events of 4 ABY, the Gand named Zuckuss belonged to a clan located on the planet of Gand. Within this clan were individuals like Zimbokk, Korgoss, Garkung, a Master Findsman, Zuckuss' mother, and several other young Gand. Prior to his participation in the Great Rite, Zuckuss experienced uncertainties and disappeared. His mother located him and advised him to prepare for the rite; however, Zuckuss inquired whether participation was mandatory. His mother responded that it was vital for the clan's prosperity. Zuckuss' mother reassured him, leading him to ultimately consent to the rite. Following Zuckuss's failure in the rite, the Master Findsman banished him from the clan.
