Towards the start of the war, the 416th's clone troopers participated in the Battle of Teyr, which led to the corps suffering heavy casualties. Due to having led so many troopers to their deaths, the corps' Jedi General disappeared following the battle's conclusion.
The 416th Star Corps was a corps of 36,864 clone troopers, along with support personnel, that served in one of the Grand Army of the Republic's Sector Armies.
Under the leadership of the Whiphid Jedi General K'Kruhk and a clone marshal commander, the 416th had four brigades under its command, including that was led by Clone Regimental Commander CRC-09/571. The corps' clone troopers wore standard Phase I clone trooper armor and wielded the DC-15A blaster rifle. In addition, the corps used at least one Infantry Support Platform speeder.
Following the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY, the 416th Star Corps was placed under command of Jedi Master K'Kruhk during the Clone Wars, an inter-galactic war between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. At one point during the war, the Jedi leaped off of one of the 416th's swamp speeders, piloted by two clone troopers, while having his green-bladed lightsaber ignited.
In 22 BBY, the 416th Star Corps participated in the Battle of Teyr, a battle that was fought against the Confederacy's battle droid forces on the Colonies planet Teyr.
Leading his forces from the front, including one of the 416th's battalions, the Whiphid General eventually considered calling off the battle and retreating in order to save the lives of his men, as the battle had turned for the worst. However, K'Kruhk chose to keep fighting instead after convinced him to stay. The clone trooper stated that they could still achieve the mission's objectives, as their lives were unimportant in the greater scheme of things and could be sacrificed for the Galactic Republic's victory on the planet.
Despite K'Kruhk's best efforts, heavy casualties still occurred under the Jedi General's command. As a result of his actions, and the conflicting ideologies of leading living beings to their deaths as a member of the Jedi Order, who was supposed to preserve life, Jedi Master K'Kruhk disappeared without a trace after the battle's conclusion. Reappearing later in the same year, for a meeting with other Jedi distraught with the war on the Outer Rim moon Ruul, K'Kruhk told Jedi Master Mace Windu about his conflicting ideologies towards the war and the Jedi Order, his experience on Teyr, and his leadership of the 416th Star Corps.
