Following the conclusion of the Battle of Yavin, the 68th Legion established its primary operations on Tatooine, a desert planet, functioning as an element of the Tatooine garrison. During this period, it operated under the command of Captain Kosh. In retaliation for the obliteration of Fort Sunfire, a significant portion, specifically half, of the legion suffered death during an assault on the base belonging to an agent affiliated with the Rebel Alliance.
