The 908th Stormtrooper Division, a unit of stormtroopers, found itself stationed within a fortress located on the planet of Borosk, which lies in the Outer Rim Territories, during the Second Imperial Civil War. This division was under the leadership of Captain Jared Cassel, an officer in the Imperial Army who hailed from Bastion. By the year 137 ABY, the 908th had switched allegiances, abandoning the Sith Empire to align themselves with the Empire-in-exile. They were scheduled to reach Bastion alongside Emperor Roan Fel, but their transport met its end, leaving them stranded.
Subsequently, the 407th Stormtrooper Division, led by the Sith Lord Darth Maleval, was dispatched with orders to destroy the stranded 908th. This decision came from Grand Admiral Morlish Veed and the Moff Council, who sought to protect their base from aerial attacks. Despite putting up a valiant and fierce fight, the 908th was completely annihilated, with no survivors remaining.
