The clash known as the Battle of Borosk saw conflict between stormtrooper forces who were loyal to Roan Fel and those who were loyal to the New Empire under the command of Darth Krayt.
As an initial action preceding the primary attack on the 908th's stronghold, Maleval, a Lord, along with units from the 407th, which included Joker Squad, Company C, and Battalion 9, successfully captured and secured the gun positions located along the perimeter wall of the 908th's headquarters amidst intense combat.
The subsequent day, Joker Squad spearheaded the assault aimed at the 908th's main fortress. The defensive lines were penetrated around the middle of the day, which led to close-quarters combat within the confined corridors. The last stand of the 908th was concentrated in what had previously functioned as their primary mess hall. The 908th had strategically positioned gun emplacements on the elevated walkways and placed mines on the floor. Despite these defensive measures, the 407th and Lord Maleval annihilated all the remaining members of the 908th, leaving no survivors.
Following the conclusion of the battle, Sith Lord Maleval presented Lieutenant Gil Cassel with his brother (a member of the 908th Division) and commanded him to execute him as proof of his allegiance. Gil refused to comply, and Maleval consequently killed both of them, branding them as traitors. Hondo Karr, a stormtrooper belonging to the 407th, retaliated by attacking Maleval with a vibro-sword. Maleval responded by attacking Karr with his electro-whip, but before Karr could be killed, Anson Trask fatally shot the Sith Lord in the back, resulting in his death. This incident was subsequently concealed in the unit's official report submitted to their superiors.
In the aftermath of the battle, control over Borosk and its encompassing system would shift repeatedly between Fel and the Sith Empire. However, in 138 ABY, the Sith would regain dominion over the planet during another battle.
