Ancient Kubaz was a writing system used by the Kubaz species. By 232 BBY, the system was considered distant by Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus. That year, when on the Amaxine station, a group of Jedi including Vitus discovered a set of binding statues with ancient inscriptions in an unfamiliar script. When asked by the Wayseeker Orla Jareni if he recognized the script, Vitus shook his head and stated that the inscriptions were not unlike ancient Kubaz. He then added that because the system was so distant and he was not aware of the species having an insect god, he considered the similarity a coincidence.
