Between around 3 BBY and 0 BBY, Bodhi Rook, a cargo pilot in the Galactic Empire, met and developed feelings for a woman on Bamayar. However, the woman rejected his advances, and Rook's friends went drinking with him after.

During the Rebel Alliance's Mid Rim offensive, which began around 1 ABY, the Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry occupied the Ducal Palace and Chenodra. During the cleanup at Chenodra, Captain Micha Evon, better known as Howl, approached the rebel soldier Twitch—who was convinced she and another soldier named Maximian Ajax had made a big mistake during their time on Bamayar—and began talking to her about the buildings there and its arches and columns. In 3 ABY, following Howl's funeral, Twitch brought up a story about the captain at Chenodra.
