A conflict occurred on the planet Bamayar amid the unsuccessful Mid Rim Offensive by the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. Spanning from approximately 1 ABY to 2 ABY, the 61st Mobile Infantry of the Alliance seized both the Ducal Palace on Bamayar and the foul-smelling port known as Chenodra during this engagement.
Following Chenodra's capture, the 61st undertook a cleansing operation, during which Captain Micha Evon of the company approached the soldier Twitch. Twitch believed that she and fellow soldier Maximian Ajax had committed a significant error on Bamayar; however, instead of addressing this mistake, Evon initiated a conversation about the port's structures. Hazram Namir, a First Sergeant within the 61st, briefly reflected upon the Bamayar combat while stationed on Haidoral Prime in 3 ABY. Twitch also remembered her interaction with Evon at Chenodra later that year at a post-funeral gathering for Evon.
Alexander Freed's 2015 novel, Battlefront: Twilight Company, included a reference to the battle of Bamayar.
