Core Founder

The Core Founders were a group of twenty-two worlds, all located in the Core Worlds region, which founded the Galactic Republic around 25,000 BBY. Founder worlds included Alderaan, Chandrila, Corellia, Coruscant, and Duro. The Avenue of the Core Founders in front of the Galactic Senate Building on Coruscant, the Republic's capital, was named after the group and lined with statues representing the worlds.

The Unity Arc, built for the Valo Republic Fair held in 231 BBY, was an art display made to honor the Core Founders. It was composed of twenty-two floating spheres, each representing a different Core Founder. Jedi Master Harli Cogra mentioned the Unity Arc and the Core Founders in Chronicles of the Jedi, a document that detailed the Jedi of the High Republic, written in 229 BBY.

The Core Founders were first canonically mentioned, albeit indirectly, in the 2016 edition of the reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations, which was published on September 27 of that year. They were first canonically identified in the reference book Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo and published on October 25, 2016. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Core Founders were first mentioned in the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, written by Kristin Lund.
