Druggats were a unit of currency. During the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, an IG-100 MagnaGuard paid the Toydarian Garri twenty druggats for the use of his offices on the planet Utapau with no questions asked. The Toydarian later told a pair of Jedi investigators about the transaction when one threatened him with a lightsaber.
Druggats were first created by author Terry Brooks in the novelization of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace released in 1999. As the currency appeared in the novel but not the film itself, it was considered part of the Star Wars Legends continuity. Druggats were made canon when they received mention in "A Death on Utapau," an episode from the canceled sixth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars which was released as an unfinished story reel on StarWars.com in 2014 as part of The Clone Wars Legacy.
