The Sason Temple was a Jedi prison located on the backwater gas giant Sason. To open the temple, one had to be pure in heart and strong in the Force. By 19 BBY, the Jedi Masters Shaak Ti and Aayla Secura sealed a Starweird, a dangerous creature that resonated with the Force, away in the Sason Temple. Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, the rogue archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra and Jedi-in-training Luke Skywalker visited the temple and accidentally released the Starweird. Skywalker and Aphra survived the encounter with the Starweird and defeated the creature.
