The Skakoan Council, also known as the Ruling Council, was a regime loyal to the Galactic Empire installed on the planet Skako Minor after the Sith Lord Darth Vader eliminated the Ruling Council of loyalists of the former Techno Union Foreman Wat Tambor, who Vader had also killed in 19 BBY. Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Jul Tambor, the grandson of Wat, attempted to reclaim Skako Minor from the regime, and had the planet blockaded. Vader and the former handmaiden Sabé were sent by command of Emperor Palpatine to deal with Tambor.
