Jul Tambor was a Skakoan male, the grandson of Techno Union Foreman Wat Tambor and the son of Wat Tambor II, who identified as both a nationalist and a pirate. This individual, whose Skakoan male identity was coupled with pirate activities, was the grandson of Techno Union Foreman Wat Tambor and also the son of Wat Tambor II. Between the years of 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Tambor spearheaded an uprising with the goal of retaking the planet Skako Minor from a regime that pledged allegiance to the Galactic Empire. The Empire alleged that Tambor recruited pirates to enact a blockade around the planet and amass a large collection of various technologies. To deal with Tambor, Darth Vader and Sabé, a former handmaiden, were sent. Sabé ultimately determined Tambor's destiny. While he was located on Brentaal IV, Tambor claimed that the pirates involved in the attacks were not under his command; however, following the bombing of Kantiema, the Skakoans realized that he was not the altruistic champion he portrayed himself to be.
