Karana Va-Trana was a Jedi Master within the Jedi Order during the time of the High Republic Era, and was an Aki-Aki by species. This Aki-Aki Jedi, together with his Padawan, namely Faris Karan, journeyed to Blarrum, located in the Outer Rim Territories, to locate Triv Blago. Blago was a beast-trader involved in the illicit capture and transport of hazardous beasts. While the two Jedi were investigating Kul Kenada Spaceport, the Aki-Aki briefly detected the presence of Ty Yorrick, a monster hunter and previous Jedi Padawan, who Blago had hired. The two Jedi then confronted Blago while he was in conversation with Yorrick, who then escaped, leaving Blago to face the Jedi.
