Admiralty Plaza existed as a plaza located on Coruscant, a planet in Legends continuity. During the Mandalorian Wars, the Admiralty of the Republic Navy was headquartered there. Every admiral serving in the Republic Navy maintained an office within Admiralty Plaza, from which orders to the fleet were disseminated. In 3964 BBY, a memorial service was held at Admiralty Plaza to honor Admiral Jimas Veltraa, who had been killed in action while defending the Outer Rim planet of Taris from a Mandalorian siege.
Situated on the planet Coruscant, the capital world of the Galactic Republic, Admiralty Plaza served as the location of the Republic Navy's Admiralty during the Mandalorian Wars. Each admiral in the Republic Navy, regardless of their rank, was assigned an office at Admiralty Plaza along with supporting staff. From these offices, the Admiralty transmitted instructions to the rest of the naval forces.
The Mandalorian clans initiated their war against the Republic in 3964 BBY, launching a major offensive against the ecumenopolis of Taris in the Outer Rim. Following the collapse of the Jebble-Vanquo-Tarnith line, Admiral Jimas Veltraa reorganized the scattered Republic Navy forces in the Outer Rim and engaged the Mandalorians in battle above Taris. Veltraa was killed during the fighting, and a memorial service was conducted at Admiralty Plaza in his honor. With the war underway, military production accelerated rapidly. The yards at Rendili were producing a Hammerhead-class cruiser every ten days, leading to increased career opportunities within the Republic Navy.
Admiralty Plaza, once viewed as a place for retiring spacers, soon became a sought-after assignment. Later in the war, a significant Republic defeat occurred at Serroco, where Rear Admiral Saul Karath barely survived an encounter with the Mandalorians and eventually returned to Coruscant. Upon his arrival at Admiralty Plaza, Karath immediately offered his resignation to the Admiral of the Fleet, which was refused. Subsequently, the Admiral of the Fleet publicly praised Karath for his courage.
The first mention of Admiralty Plaza occurred in The Admiral's List: Jimas Veltraa Memorial Edition, a fictional news report featured on the final page of Knights of the Old Republic 13, a comic issue written by John Jackson Miller, published by Dark Horse Comics, and released on January 31, 2007.
