Alpha Squadron was a unit of Imperial seatroopers that participated in the Genocide on Dac. Serving Darth Krayt's Galactic Empire with unwavering loyalty, they met their end at the hands of Imperial Knight Treis Sinde.
During the Mon Calamari Massacre, Alpha Squadron found themselves assigned to the Sea Lion, an Acklay Battle Fortress under the command of Commander Sturves. The task force, which included Alpha Squadron, stumbled upon a settlement of Mon Calamari refugees and launched Shark subfighters to commit mass murder against the civilians. However, a group of Mon Calamari Rangers piloting Krakanas intervened, arriving at the camp to defend their people, and inflicting losses on the Imperial forces. In response to this resistance, Sturves instructed his lieutenant, Troax, to deploy a seatrooper squadron into the conflict. Alpha Squadron answered the call and entered the battle. However, before they could engage the Mon Calamari, they were caught in an ambush by the Imperial Knight known as Treis Sinde.
Sinde utilized an inkbomb, throwing it directly at the squad, thus clouding their vision. The seatroopers attempted to retaliate, but their impaired sight made it impossible to target the Imperial Knight. As the squad leader commanded his troops to switch to infrared sensors, Sinde launched his attack, taking them completely by surprise. In the ensuing close-quarters combat, Sinde effortlessly cut through the squadron, deflecting their blaster fire and dismembering them with his lightsaber. Following the squad's demise, the Imperial commander attempted to reestablish contact, but received no response. With the unit eliminated, Sinde was then able to target the Sea Lion, successfully boarding the battle fortress and causing extensive damage to the internal docking bay.
