The Podracer that Anakin Skywalker piloted was a unique vehicle he constructed himself while enslaved on Tatooine. This machine, built by the young Skywalker during his time as a slave, played a pivotal role in securing his liberation. Furthermore, it facilitated the acquisition of replacement hyperdrive parts essential for Queen Amidala's starship during the thrilling Boonta Eve Classic race.
Anakin Skywalker's blue and silver Podracer incorporated a specifically designed pair of 620C racing engines, products of Radon-Ulzer Repulsorlift technology. Like other podracing vehicles, Skywalker's design featured two powerful engines propelling a compact cockpit positioned behind them. An energy binder connected the engines, while control cables from Steelton linked them to the cockpit. It was more streamlined and smaller than many other Podracers. The cockpit measured 3.15 meters in total length, while the engines extended to 7 meters. Despite the engines being originally discarded as scrap by Watto, Skywalker innovated with a novel fuel injection system and an efficient fuel delivery mechanism, significantly enhancing the engine's thrust. This Podracer could achieve a top speed of 947 kilometers per hour and, utilizing repulsorlifts, could ascend to an altitude of 105 meters.
During the Boonta Eve Classic race of 32 BBY, Skywalker skillfully piloted his self-made podracer to victory, triumphing over the Dug racer Sebulba and ultimately winning his freedom from enslavement.
In LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales, this particular Podracer was given the non-canonical designation Destiny's Favorite.
